Location: Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, Paintings Gallery, Schillerplatz 3, 1010 Vienna
Opening hours: daily except Monday, 10–18 h
In parallel to the exhibition A Vista on Italy and France in three rooms of the Paintings Gallery, we continue to present our collection with alternating thematic focuses under the motto Considering the Collection. Numerous highlights will continue to be on display, including Rembrandt's Portrait of a Young Woman, Boreas and Oreithyia by Peter Paul Rubens and the Self-Portrait by Anthony van Dyck. One of the main works in the collection, the Last Judgement Triptych by Hieronymus Bosch, is on permanent display.
Due to exhibition and renovation works, the Gallery will be partially closed from 11 August to 7 September 2025. The Paintings Gallery is totaly closed from 26 May to 6 June and from 8 September to 2 October due to exhibition installation works
